Proceed to the back of the caves and save the boy. It's highly recconmended that you recruit a leader or two and add them to your union beforehand. After the quest, it's also recconmended that you recruit Baulson.
Reward: 500 G, Baulson recruitable in Guild

When: Once you reach Celapaleis go to the Smith and talk to him.
Where: Celapaleis - Amber Tavern
Follow the cave and use the Dig Spot on the right-hand side of the wall.

Name: Athlum's Witch #1

When: After visiting Blackdale for the first time
Where: Athlum - Town Square
Objective: Give her 500 G

Side Notes:This will be your first of 10 quests involving Khrynia, the Witch. She is located in every major
city throughout the game and asks for a certain amount of gold in exchange for items. The Witch quests
ARE missable if you don't complete the initial 4 quests before Disc 2. It's fairly simple to do if you just
remind yourself to look for her in every new City you enter and if you talk to her and don't have enough
gold, you will not forfeit the quest.

Where: Athlum - Warrior's Honor Pub
Objective: Escort Emma to Robelia Castle and defeat the Third Committee Soldier and the 2 Blackwings. This will most likely be your first encounter with these annoying birds, they have an annoying habbit to cast Curse to any Union that attacks them first turn. In this situation there is no real way to avoid it so you can only hope it doesn't affect your Unions. Just make 3 Unions and send 1 Union to each of them.

Objective: Find 3 items belonging to Jorgen and help him remember who he is.
Reward: Stacked Attack formation, Jorgen recruitable in guild.
Side Note: Jorgens quest is an interesting one in that depending on the items you give him, his weapons,

Quest 13
Name: The Hero
Source: Archaeologist
When: Immediately when in Balterossa
Where: Balterossa Café Moondust
Objective: Explore the Great Subterrane and disable the steles. You must first find the Divine Statue in one of the Treasure Chests before you can disable the steles. Once you disable all of them, you can use
the Teleporter and fight the boss, a Hydra type monster who is fairly weak.
Reward: 2,500 G, Honor of Determination, Vanguard formation
Quest 14
Name: The War of a Thousand Years
Source: Conspiracy Theory Nut
When: After completing "The Hero"
Where: Balterossa Café Moondust
Objective: Defeat the boss in the Great Subterrane, he's in the same exact spot where the Boss from the previous quest was. Fight him via the teleporter.
Reward: Rough Elven Stone, 2,000 G

Name: The Trade Route

When: After visiting Elysion
Where: Athlum - Warrior's Honor Pub
Objective: Escort the merchant through the cave to the Great Sand Sea.
Reward: Gaslin Copper x 6, Iron Ore x 4, Jhana Alloy x 2, Rough Spriggan Stone
Side Note: If you want an easy 5 minute quest then choose the options that you normally wouldn't, I'll let you
figure those out ;)

Name: Into the Abyss

When: Immediately
Where: Royotia Castle
Objective: Find the Flame Guardian in Lavafender. Use the key and open the first silver gate to your right and
follow it down. The Guardian is a small beam of light next to some bugs.
Reward: Manoryll Salia<--#2
Side Note: This will be beginning of a 11 part quest in which you have to collect the 9 Salias in order to start a
later quest. Your first Salia you should have obtained should have been in "Bravery and Loyalty".

Objective: Find Paris in the cave and kill the enemies
Reward: 2,000 G, Opens Secret Guild in Celapaleis - Sword of the Three Realms
Side Note: This will be your first chance to unlock one of the 4 secret guilds. The secret guilds have special
Guild Tasks you can't find anywhere else and also secret recruitible leaders.

Name: A Single Soul

When: Once Heroic Ramparts appears on map
Where: Celapaleis - Amber Tavern
Objective: Find the flowers in the back of Darken Forest and fight the monsters.
Reward: 5,000 G, can recruit Rhagoh
Side Note: It is HIGH ADVISED that you recruit Rhagoh and save yourself time doing so in the future. Rhagoh
MUST be recruited in order to do a future quest and is one of the four leaders that are required to recruit to
initiate their quests.

Objective: Kill Validus in Vale of the Gods.

Side Note: Validus is a Spiritbird type so it's best to send only one Union at him first turn and have 3 Unions total, 2 attacking and 1 staying back healing.
READ: You MUST do this quest in order to open "The Fallen" quest in Disc 2.

Name: The Rainbow Bond

When: When you go to Melphina
Where: Melphina - Babbling Brook Pub then to Royotia.
Objective: Go to Royotia and assist Sibal with defeating the Ancient Dragon.
Reward: Manryn Salia<--#7, Maddox recruitable
Side Note: The Ancient Dragon is an Achievement and is basically a standard dragon. Have 2 Unions focus
on attacking while a 3rd heals.

Name: The Broken Seal

Objective: Find the 3 broken seals and defeat their guardians. The seals you're looking for will have smoke emitting from them.
Reward: Azure Orb: Teaches Rush Evocations
URGENT READ BEFORE STARTING QUEST: Okay, here's one of the main reasons why I wanted to update this
guide, I've seen several people, including myself, that have missed out on the Achievement for all side quests
because of this dumb quest. Ranting aside, this is the first of 3 quests in which you will be asked a question
with 2 options.
YOU MUST CHOOSE THE SECOND OPTION EVERY TIME TO GET A FUTURE QUEST!!!
I will make a nice little reminder for the rest of the quests.

Name: Slumber of the Lost Fragment

Objective: Win the 3 rounds of the tournament.

Side Note: They are fairly easy battles if you play it smart. Just have 3 Unions like normal and remember that it
will be a 3v3 fight for all 3 battles. Deadlock each of your Unions with one of theirs and play smart. Also you
have some breathing time between matches so take that time to save.

Objective: Find the girl and bring escort her out of Crookfen.
Reward: Javelin x 1, 5,000 G
Side Note: When you get her into your party and are exiting back, Aeronites will have spawned as well as an
automatic Bai Ze Rare Monster. He's a big gold dragon and he hits pretty hard. It's recconmended that you
beat him and hope for a split with 3 Dragon Eggs which will net you the Explosive Formula at any guild which
will allow Rush to use Explosive Arts!
Quest 32
Name: Wisdom's Echo
Source: Old-Fashioned Woman
When: After the meeting in Nagapur
Where: Nagapur - Pub Drachenhauch
Objective: Go to the bottom floor with all the land worms and have them all keep following you until tje Treant looking monster appears. He comes with a Spiritbird so only send one Union after it to get Cursed.
Reward: Honor of Oath, Batwings formation, Glenys recruitable in Nagapurs Guild
Side Note: It is advised that you recruit Glenys as she is required to start a future quest.
READ: OK this is a great place for many reasons.
Reason 1: There are an INFINITE number of land worms spawning and they are all pretty weak.
Reason 2: Link about 7 or so and you'll get around 30+ units to fight against netting you an Achievement.
Reason 3: Keep fighting them until you get a chain of 200 netting you another achievement.
Reason 4: This is undoubtedly the BEST place to learn Arcana. Since there are multiple unions with moderate
HP and weak STR, this is the ideal place to learn Arcana such as Blackout, Whiteout, Rejuvinating Water,
Fatal Eclipse, and Animacule.
STORY TIME!
At this point you should go have/do the Nest of Eagles section of the story.
Quest 33
Name: The Disappearing Knights

Where: Go to the Melphina Bar and talk with the Melphinan Knight to trigger the quest in the Castle. Go to the
Castle and watch the cutscene and talk with Roberto and accept the quest.
Objective: Find the soldiers in Siebenburs Fourth path and defeat the mini-boss.
Reward: 4,800 G

Quest 34
Name: Darien

When: After Nagapur meeting
Where: Elysion - The Heavenly Terrace
Objective: Bring the Holy Chalice to him from Melphina. You must speak with a series of 4 people. It's fairly
easy just talk with them and they'll tell you what happened. Get the Chalice and return it to Darien.
Reward: 250,000 G.....oh wait I meant 25 G, Darien recruitable

See Beauson in Elysion - Genaade District.
See Alyssa again in Baaluk, find the map near the guild entrance.
See Beauson again in Elysion - Receive Rough Irised Stone
See Alyssa to return Rough Irised Stone - She will refuse it and give you Ring of the Morning Calm.
Grab your reward from Raphus back at Royotia.

Name: The Fiery Revolt
Source: Flame Guardian
When: After you get the 9 Salias.
Where: You may have to talk to the Soldier in the Royotia Pub to initiate the quest otherwise talk with the guy in
the Castle.
Objective: Gather the 9 Salia's before doing this to receive 3 items. A sword, shield, and accessory. Defeat
Vespalia, he's another Spiritbird so remember he Curses first turn.
Reward: Pivasalia
Quest 39
Name: The Ancient War
Source: Chief of Staff
When: Immediately
Where: Speak with one of the guards in the Pubs who will tell you that they need your help. Then go to the Castle and speak with the Chief of Staff.
Objective: Defeat the army and Mantroskylo.
Reward: 20000 G
Side Note: This will probably be your first fight with a Dragon. I moved this quest further down because at
this point it's MUCH easier to do. But if you do need a quick 20K, this can of course be done before but it'll
be slightly harder.
Quest 40
Name: The Silver Falcons: Part One
Source: Caedmon
When: Before entering Aqueducts
Where: Balterossa - Merchant's Lot and Pub, you will have to talk to Caedmon prior to this quest to initiate it. He'll be waiting outside the pub with a Red Bubble over his head.
Objective: Participate in the battle.
Reward: Shamshir, 3000 G
Side Note: It is HIGHLY recconmended that if you haven't already, recruit Caedmon. He's worth every penny
and then some.
Quest 41
Name: At Hatred's End
Source: Dumb whore I mean Ophelia<--sucks
When: After completing the 3 quests by Roberto, and picking lower option EACH time.
Where: Melphina - Pub
Objective: Find Nordis and Azelle in Numor Mines.
Reward: Ophelia's Sword
Side Note: OMG did you pick the right choices? GOOD JOB!!! /sarcasm

Name: The Silver Falcons: Part Two
Source: Caedmon
When: Sometime after completing Part One
Where: Balterossa - Merchant's Lot and Pub
Objective: Participate in battle again.
Reward: Premier Bracelet, 8000 G
Side Note: There have been several problems with this quest appearing so if you have tried everything and it
still hasn't come up, you CAN do it on Disc 2 and again, this is the ONLY quest that I advise you to wait till Disc
2. All others up till now should have been completed.
